Anna Paquin settles into married life with a trip to the shops as she proudly shows off her stunning diamond wedding ring.
The True Blood actress married her co-star Stephen Moyer at the weekend in idyllic beach wedding in Malibu.
But it seems the pair have put their honeymoon plans on hold for now at least, with a scheduled appearance at the Emmys on Sunday to present an award with their fellow cast member Alexander Skarsgard.
Anna, 28, was pictured today shopping at the trendy clothing store Fred Segal in Santa Monica, California, with her mother Mary.
Dressed in denim shorts and a printed T-shirt, the actress flashed her wedding band at photographers, which was designed by jeweller Cathy Waterman.
Meanwhile, across town, Moyer was spotted skateboarding around the streets of Venice Beach where the couple live, also with his ring firmly in place.
Yesterday the British-born star, 40, was pictured without the marriage band (and his new wife) as he hit the beach with family to catch some surf time.
Presumably, he didn't want to lose the precious jewellery item, which was also designed by Waterman, in the sea.
Paquin's True Blood character Sookie Stackhouse and Moyer's Bill Compton haven't exactly been on the firmest of grounds.
But the couple exchanged vows under a tent across the road from the beach in Malibu on Saturday, and many of the guests in attendance brought presents wrapped in purple boxes with purple bows reports Us Weekly.
And it certainly appears Moyer is keen on the swimming. Soon after he tied the knot, he dashed into the sea to celebrate.
Among the guests at the intimate celebration were the couple's True Blood co-star Carrie Preston and her husband Michael Emerson of Lost, and Elijah Wood.
Paquin wore a a Marilyn Monroe-esque white halterneck three-quarter length gown and black platform court shoes, with her blonde hair pulled back in a simple bun.
Moyer wore a simple black suit, white shirt and a black tie.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party moved across the street to a private residence for the reception, where Moyer stripped off and jumped into the ocean.
In true Hollywood style, Paquin and Moyer fell in love on the set of their HBO hit vampire show, with their first kiss actually occurring on screen.
The couple began dating a few months after the show's debut in 2008, but they kept their relationship under wraps until February 2009. Even Paquin coming out and saying she was bisexual did nothing to derail the relationship.
At the time Moyer said that decision was intentional. 'It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn't feel it was fickle....We didn't want to take anything away from the show.'
The couple announced their engagement in August 2009, with Moyer proposing on a beach in Hawaii. He chose Hawaii because 'There was a song in the first season, "White Sandy Beach in Hawaii," which was kind of funny and ironic,' Moyer told Access Hollywood last year.
'[It] all started out as a joke and then we decided to go to Hawaii with my kids.' Moyer has two children, Billy, 10, and Lilac, 8, from two previous relationships.
Speaking of his feelings for Paquin, Moyer said in the July issue of Playboy, 'With Anna it's just about pure trust, on camera and off. I have never trusted anybody like I trust Anna.'
Clearly, trust is important between the two as Paquin recently announced that she is bisexual, something Moyer said he was 'proud' of her for revealing.
Both Paquin and Moyer recently appeared naked and covered in blood on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine with co-star Alexander Skarsgard.
Born in Canada, Paquin was raised in New Zealand and first made her mark in Hollywood in 1994 when she won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar at 11 for her role as Holly Hunter's daughter in The Piano.
British born Moyer began his career in the theatre, working with The Royal Shakespeare Company. He divides his time between London and the home he shares with Paquin in Venice Beach in Los Angeles.
