Katy Perry Clears the Air About Miley Cyrus/Britney Spears Comparison

A spy for Life & Style magazine allegedly overheard Katy Perry criticizing fellow recording artist Miley Cyrus at Canada’s MuchMusic Awards last month. The source for the publication claims to have heard Perry saying, “[Cyrus] is Britney Spears all over again. It’s happening right before our eyes. She’s definitely headed the Britney route. It’s worse, look at those outfits. It’s bad.”

In response to the allegations, the “California Gurl” tweeted to refute the claims and express her love for the 17-year-old celebrity. On her Twitter page, Perry wrote, “Rumor control: I never said s*** bout my girl Miley. I love that ho. Mags should stop pitting girls against each other. We all can co-exist!”

In the past, she has relied on her Twitter page to refute allegations and address topics that peak her interest. Perry generated publicity after Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” music video premiered when she tweeted, “Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.”

According to MTV in the U.K., Perry, 25, was recently spotted publicly by the paparazzi as she headed to a Los Angeles gym. The recording artist recently signed a lucrative contract with acne treatment company Proactiv, but Russell Brand’s fiancée unsuccessfully tried to hide a breakout with a baseball cap and a large pair of sunglasses.

Miley Cyrus Talks Her First On-Screen Kiss With Liam

Miley Cyrus has revealed that she fell for her boyfriend, Australian co-star Liam Hemsworth, when the couple shared their first on screen kiss for new film The Last Song.

It seems that the Hannah Montana star has fallen for Liam hard, with some reports even suggesting she wants to marry the 20-year old actor.

Miley even insisted that they are so in love, that it does not matter that they have little in common.

She said: "That kiss definitely triggered something. It triggered something in my head that made me realise this was going to be a lot of fun and it made me realise that one day you can feel bad and the next you can meet someone who is your soulmate or your best friend or whatever and that's really cool."

The 17-year old also recently announced that she will be leaving Hannah Montana, the Disney show which propelled her to fame at the end of the season.

She told the Daily Mirror: "It's kind of bittersweet for me. It's like my security blanket, my comfort zone. It's the easiest thing that I do and I've always had the show to lean on, and to not have it to lean on in the future will be different for me."

But it looks like Miley has nothing to worry about, she already has a fan in Demi Moore with whom she will soon star alongside in new movie LOL.

Moore told MTV US: "She's great, and I think that she is incredibly grounded…"[she] is a true professional.”
