Victoria Beckham gives birth

Victoria Beckham has given birth to a girl.

The fashion designer and her soccer star husband David welcomed their daughter into the world at 7.55am this morning (2.55am NZT). The tot weighed in at 7lbs. 10oz, although her name hasn't been released yet.

"David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter," the couple's spokesperson said.

"Happy and healthy she arrived at 7.55am this morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles."

David and Victoria already have three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz. All three boys are said to be thrilled about the new arrival.

"Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family," the representative added.

The pair's daughter was born by caesarean section.

David and Victoria, 37, have both spoken about their excitement at becoming parents again before, with both admitting they were thrilled to be having a daughter.

"Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon," said David, 36, after the pregnancy was announced.

Victoria Beckham has asked French designer Christian Louboutin to create a pair of baby shoes for her unborn daughter.

According to a source, the star even asked for the boots to include the labels trademark red soles.

The former Spice Girl is renowned for her love of fashion and is always seen in the latest catwalk creations.

''Forget Suri Cruise, this baby is going to be seriously cool,” a friend of the Beckhams told British newspaper The Sun.

It was also revealed that the Victoria has been secretly buying clothes for a baby girl for years.

The designer, who is expected to give birth via Caesarean section tomorrow, would pretend to buy gifts for friends and then stash the girly items at home to save for a future daughter.

An insider revealed that the mother-of-three has been longing for a girl for a long time.

''Victoria loves her three sons, but wants a girl to be with her while they're playing football with Dad," the source said.

Spice Girls ‘To Reunite Without Posh’

The Spice Girls are planning to tour again but are having trouble persuading Victoria Beckham to join them, according to reports.

The members reformed in 2007 for a massive world tour which netted them millions each.

And now they apparently want another money spinning jaunt except for Posh- who is busy working on her fashion range.

A source told The Mirror: “The girls are so excited. They are buzzing about getting back together and each have so many new ideas and so much to bring to the table. They are desperate to get Posh on board, but that is the sticking point.

“Although she's still so nostalgic about the good old days, she has moved on now and is relishing the fashion world. They don't want to give up on her, but have so many plans."

Today The Sun reports that Victoria Beckham is so fussy that she demands huge amounts of fruit on photoshoots that must not be mixed up.

Victoria Beckham shows off her million-dollar smile in a money-spinning TV ad.

Victoria, 36, laughs and jokes her way through a new promo for mobile phones.

She not only cracks a very rare smile but even breaks into a giggling fit in the clip for LG Fashion Touch phones.

Viewers in the US saw the former singer fool around with best mate Eva Longoria Parker, 35, for the first time last night.

But with a reputed £649,000 fee, the ex-Spice Girl was laughing all the way to the bank.

The advert features the pair playing a grown-up game of “dressing up.”

And, just so Posh’s happy mood does not come as too great a shock, the ad warns fans they will see the famous friends “like you’ve never seen them”.

A Hollywood-based Brit said: “It’s great to see Posh laughing and joking.

“It must be about the first time she’s been seen with a smile on her face for over a year.”

Posh and Eva have been close mates since the Beckham family moved to Los Angeles in 2007.

It is a well known fact that Victoria is desperate to have a daughter after giving birth to three cute sons and according to the Sun the fashionista has set up a baby chart which shows the best times to conceive.

David's golden balls are sure to be given a hammering by his wife who is reported to be asking for sex five times a day!

Victoria is currently in London on a business trip and David is recovering both from the sexual regime and his injured Achilles tendon.

A family friend told the Sun: "David's knackered and was relieved to get a break.

"He's not complaining. But with all the strapping on his foot just getting about is hard enough, let alone bedroom gymnastics five times a day.

And VB is using her business savviness to get project baby off the ground: "Vic is desperate to get pregnant and has a timetable for sex.

"From what David's said it basically means he must produce the goods whenever it's possible and be on continuous standby.

"He's exhausted and is just trying to get his energy back for Victoria's return."
