Heidi & Spencer to file for Bankruptcy

HEIDI MONTAG and SPENCER PRATT are considering filing for bankruptcy after frittering away their entire multi-million dollar fortune.

The newly-reunited couple, who filed for a divorce dismissal in September (10), claim they owe $2 million (£1.3 million) in taxes and have been forced to move out of their luxurious California home, taking up residence with Pratt's parents.

The Hills stars claim they wasted $10 million (£6.7 million) on various extravagances including Montag's disastrous pop career and her numerous cosmetic surgeries, as well as six cars, designer clothes and trips on private jets.

And Pratt admits they should have been more careful with their money, telling Life & Style magazine, "We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part. In hindsight, we shouldn't have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved. We spoke with a bankruptcy attorney and I've looked into unemployment checks.

"We thought The Hills was going to be like 90210 and we'd have another five to 10 years... Our cast was a bit boring and snoozeworthy... No wonder we got cancelled... My parents are my lifeline."

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt burn divorce papers

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have celebrated getting back together by burning their divorce papers.

The Hills star Heidi filed documents at a California court on Wednesday to halt the divorce proceedings.

And on Thursday, she and Spencer, 27, headed to a Malibu beach to set the papers alight.

'After spending time together over these past several months Heidi and
Spencer have decided to reconcile,' her lawyer Jodeane Farrell confirms.

Heidi, 23, and Spencer decided to reunite after meeting in Costa Rica recently.

'We are back together trying to make things work,' reads a statement to Us Weekly.

'We do love each other and realised we do want to spend the rest of our lives together.'

Heidi announced the split in June and filed for divorce in July, citing irreconcilable differences.

Heidi Montag’s Dad Fears for Her Life

Heidi Montag’s father is apparently alarmed by the increasingly bizarre and controlling behavior of his son-in-law Spencer Pratt, and now tells Star he is “afraid for her life.”

It’s hard to blame him. Judging from the photos of Pratt standing guard outside his house with his SWAT team of ex-Marines, it’s clear he’s gone overboard. There are other rumors flying around—that Pratt bans Heidi from TV or the internet, that he forces her into plastic surgeries, that he blocks the windows, that they are living in squalor. And without a doubt, Pratt has isolated Heidi from her friends and family, which is often a hallmark of an abusive or at least disordered relationship.

Bill Montag seems to get this.

“If I don’t hear from them soon, good or bad, I will take my family and get his family and go there and talk to them,” Montag told Star. “They can call the police on me too. I want to make sure both of them are okay.”

Of course, there is the possibility that all the crazy talk and guns and weird behavior are part of a publicity gambit. But there is also the very real possibility that Pratt and Montag are locked in an abusive relationship and that Montag is indeed in danger. It’s also a point worth making that Pratt’s alleged behavior is pretty far off the deep end, and he may also be in danger. As her parents, the Montags are well within their rights to investigate the situation, and rather than waiting for Pratt to call the police on them, they might want to call the police themselves. I mean, if Michael Lohan can do it, what’s stopping them?

Heidi Montag's Bikini Pic Scores Her $10K

Heidi Montag showed off her new F-cups (seriously) this weekend by hamming it up for a Las Vegas bikini photo shoot. Think she did it for the good of the nation? Wrong. My sources tell me Miss Montag was paid $10,000 for the busty shoot. But was it worth it? What people are saying ... after the jump!

Montag has kept her new body under wraps -- literally -- for months since getting 10 plastic surgery procedures done in one day back in November of 2009. So what better way to reveal her new, enhanced figure than with a staged poolside photo op?

"It was worth every penny. No other celeb in the world could get this much attention posing in a bikini," one insider told me. My source went even further, saying, "The sponsors would rather have Heidi than Angelina!"

While that's a bit on the hyperbolic (and insane) mentality, we've got to say: At least Heidi is smart enough to know that in order to pay for all that surgery, she might as well show off the results of it!
