Gaga's tour forced her into bankruptcy

Lady Gaga was left $US3 million ($2.8 million) in debt when her Monster Ball tour forced her into bankruptcy.

The pop superstar launched her second series of live concerts in 2009 and has spent two years touring the show. Described as "the first-ever pop electro opera", the tour was announced after an intended joint tour with Kanye West was suddenly cancelled.

Since the Monster Ball tour began, Gaga has performed the show more than 200 times, grossing over $US227.4 million.

Gaga previously admitted her lavish stage sets and production costs left her bankrupt and she has now revealed she was struggling with a massive multimillion-dollar debt.

"I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of The Monster Ball. And it was funny because I didn't know! And I remember I called everybody and said, 'Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five number one singles' - and they said, 'Well, you're $3 million in debt'," Gaga said in an interview with Stephen Fry for Britain's Financial Times.

While the tour clearly burned a hole in the artist's pocket, album sales have skyrocketed in the past week with Gaga's album Born This Way debuting at No.1 on the ARIA albums chart.

The much-anticipated album, released on May 23, is already approaching multi-platinum status in Australia and has reportedly sold more than a million copies worldwide.
In Britain Gaga ended Adele's lengthy reign over the UK album chart with Born This Way scoring the biggest first week sales of the year so far.

The album shot to the top spot on the charts just hours after promoters announced that Gaga will return to Sydney for an intimate performance for fewer than 1000 of her diehard fans on July 13.

What turns Matthew Morrison on?

If you’ve got a thing for the Glee’s crooning Spanish teacher, then here’s a lesson you need to learn. Matthew Morrison, who plays the popular Will Schuester in hit series Glee, admits watching women dance gets him all hot under the collar.

“Dancing is very sensual. It’s someone expressing themselves through their body. I mean, I get turned on when I see women dance,” he explains.

While dancing does it for the 32-year-old hunk, he’s looking for a woman who likes to tuck in… to his home-cooked meals, that is.

“I’m kind of a homebody so it would involve cooking. I make this mean chicken enchilada. Not too spicy, it’s just right. And I’m really into crockpotting right now. It’s like a slow cooker, so you put food in it in the morning, like stews and it gets so soft and tender. But it's great because you can put it in at some time in the morning and go to work all day and then you come home and your whole house just smells amazing. So I'd probably cook for her,” he adds. “Cooking and conversation - the two Cs. And a bottle of wine - maybe a couple."

We want Pippa's bum!

Since rocketing to the spotlight after acting as sister Kate’s royal bridesmaid, Pippa Middleton has left us with one buring question, and no, it’s not about his royal hotness Prince Harry. Our question is: how can we get a bum like yours?

Britain’s newest sensation has revealed that her secret is Pilates! “My Pilates sessions have become something of a weekly necessity that keeps me fit, happy and energised,” said Pippa.

Does that mean if we start Pilates that we’ll get a Facebook page dedicated to our derriere with over 200,000 likes? Highly doubtful, but it seems to be working wonders for Pip.

“As someone who is always on the go, Pilates has been a wonderful escape from my busy lifestyle in London,” the 27 year-old says, “whether it’s 7am in the morning or 7pm at night I always leave feeling calm, refreshed and invigorated.”

Brangelina together onscreen again?

While strutting some seriously questionable facial hair at Cannes this week, Brad Pitt hinted at a collaboration we’ve been waiting for since 2005, teaming once again with partner Angelina Jolie.

“We're hopscotching with films so one can be with the kids and one's free to work,” said the superstar dad, “Why aren't we doing them together? Why aren't we doing everything together?"

Why indeed. The duo hooked up while filming Mr & Mrs Smith, and another project together might spark some extra magic both in the box office and behind the screens.

But the more important question remains, what is going on with the facial hair, Brad? You seriously need to take some tips on becoming a silver fox from your BFF, George Clooney. We really don’t want a repeat of the pirate bead beard of 2009.

Justin Bieber wants to be an actor

Justin Bieber says that he "definitely" wants to pursue a career in front of the camera. The teenage singer, who is best known for hit songs such as 'Baby', caught the acting bug when he filmed a guest role on US crime show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation earlier this year.

He said: "I definitely want to do more acting, and further my career in that area, that's something I would love to do."

A career change may not be on the cards for the 17-year-old heartthrob yet though, as he says he would "love" to collaborate with Stevie Wonder or Beyonce.
