Katy Perry won't sleep in the dark

Katy Perry admits she is afraid of the dark, and has to sleep with the light on unless she is with her fiance , comedian Russell Brand.

The singer, whose new album, Teenage Dream, tops the UK chart, told Radio Times she feared something bad would happen if she was on her own at night.

"I think a lot of evil things go on in the dark," said Katy, 25. "I still have to cover my toes because I'm like that kid who thinks there's a witch under my bed who's going to eat my tootsies off.

"I sleep with lights on unless I'm with Russell."

Katy added she had given up a partying lifestyle.

"You have to have talent to make it work or the only thing you get out of it is free booze and no sleep, which makes you no good."

- On training to be a tatooist for her new reality show - Jodie Marsh Tattoo Apprentice: “I’m doing an apprenticeship, so in the programme I’m showing how hard it is to actually do tattoos and the difference between good and bad ones. It will also film my personal journey as a celebrity and how I want to change my life and go in a different direction.”

The museum in Washington DC just unveiled the Rihanna wax figure, clad in her signature Balmain gear — all black, lace, peek-a-boo bra effect, major bling. It's the same outfit the singer wore to the Balmain Spring '10 Paris Fashion Week show.

Kathy Griffin: I had to pull my mum off Kim Kardashian‎

Actress Kathy Griffin has revealed that her mother lost the plot when she met Kim Kardashian.

Griffin's mum was extremely excited when she hit the red carpet and met the reality star at last night’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

Griffin tweeted: 'OMG, my mum lost her s*** when she saw @kimkardashian.

'I had to pull her off Kim.'

The 29-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star tweeted back: 'I love your mum!'
Griffin brought her mum Maggie along as her date for yesterday’s 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards.

She told UsMagazine.com that her mum was 'a fantastic date”.

She said: 'She is a little more popular than I am, so that’s kind of hard for me, but that's what happens when you star in a show and you have a break-out star like my mum, I am the sidekick tonight – I am her wingman.'

Although the former Suddenly Susan star, 49, added that she was most excited to see reality TV star Kate Gosselin at the ceremony.

She added: 'I have had lunch with Kate Gosselin!

'We are BFFs! I'm hoping she is dancing and singing.'

Lady Gaga Poses As A Man For Vogue

Pop star Lady Gaga has graced the cover of Japanese Vogue magazine - as a man.

The Bad Romance singer sports short dark hair and a white tank top on the front of the men's version of the fashion magazine.

She is described as model Jo Calderone - who is Gaga's alter ego.

In the accompanying interview, 'he' claims to be a friend of the singer.

"I met her at a shoot (photographer) Nick Knight was doing. She's f***** beautiful, and funny, and interesting.

"I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting.

"She said, 'Don’t be baby, you were born this way.' I took her out after. The rest is private."

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, is not afraid to push sexual boundaries.

She admitted to having bi-sexual relationships in the past and is an advocate of gay rights.

The singer recently became the most followed person on Twitter, overtaking pop star Britney Spears.

Gaga will soon become immortalised in wax at the New York branch of Madame Tussauds.

Gaga statues are expected at many of the other global museums, including the one in London.

Fans of the star, referred to by Gaga as "little monsters" are being given the chance to share their ideas on which of her flamboyant outfits the waxwork should wear.

"We're open to hearing from fans about which looks they want," said a spokesman.

Paris Hilton smiled in her mugshot after she was arrested Friday night on suspicion of felony cocaine possession in Las Vegas (see above).

Her attorney is urging people "not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law."

Mischa Barton to ditch Los Angeles for London and set up home with her English DJ boyfriend

She's only been dating him for about a month or so but Mischa Barton is already planning to up sticks for her new man.

The actress is said to be planning to leave Los Angeles and move to London to be closer to her DJ boyfriend Ali Love.

And friends said she can't wait to pack her bags and fly to the UK.

Speaking to heat magazine this week, a friend said: 'Mischa’s found a great new guy.

'She can’t wait to move to London to be with him. It’s already in the works.'

Mischa, 24, and 28-year-old DJ/singer/writer/producer Ali - real name Alexander McLovan - got together at the beginning of the summer.

They have already enjoyed a romantic break together in Nice, France and were seen looking loved up and happy at the Lovebox festival in east London where he played.

And things have moved even quicker for the new couple, as Mischa plans to ditch her Los Angeles home for the capital.

The friend added: 'Instead of Hollywood gigs, Mischa’s focusing on a stage career in the West End.

'She wants to spend a year in London and see where things go with both the theatre and Ali. She’s so happy to be starting afresh. She’s so in love!'

Mischa was born in London, but was moved to the US with her family when she was six but she has retained her British citizenship.

The former O.C star has often said she feels 'more comfortable in England', adding that she likes people to 'discern that I'm an English-Irish girl who grew up in New York'.

Mischa's sister Zoe is a barrister in London and the actress also has a big group of friends over here, so she won't be short of company, and can count Daisy Lowe and Jaime Winstone among her pals.
