Lady Gaga smothers herself in fake blood as she transforms into gun-toting Cruella de Vil

With her larger than life image and array of outrageous outfits, every day is Halloween for Lady Gaga.

But the star went all out for the actual occasion.

The kooky singer was spotted doing her own take on dastardly Disney villain Cruella de Vil.

Wearing a black and white wig and oversize sunglasses, Gaga's long dalmatian print coat was left open to reveal sexy black underwear with a trail of fake blood splashed over her neck and chest.

The 24-year-old was on her way to a private party in Belfast, where she is currently on tour.

She was flanked by a number of people in costume, including ladies dressed as dalmatians.

Gaga also sported a fake gun as part of her ensemble.

She has been busy touring Europe and has also found time to record a duet with Sir Elton John.

The  track, called Hello Hello, will feature in a new Disney film Gnomeo and Juliet.

Cruella de Vil was made famous in the 1961 film 101 Dalmatians as the villain who kidnapped dalmatian puppies for their fur.

She was later immortalised by Glen Close in the 1996 film and the 2000 sequel 102 Dalmatians.

Tara Reid gets REALLY dolled up for Halloween in a tiny Barbie costume

Tara Reid transformed into a living doll last night as she got a jump start on Halloween celebrations.

The American Pie actress, who has turned to plastic surgery in her quest for the perfect figure, dressed as her apparent icon, Barbie, for a party at New York's Cipriani Downtown restaurant.

She went the extra mile, donning a thatch of extra hair that matched her own long platinum locks.

The 34year-old wore a pink Barbie-themed corset and matching handbag, finished with a ruffled black tutu and black ribbon-strapped heels.

Her silver Barbie nameplate pendant on a black ribbon added a touch of authenticity, making her look just like the real thing.

Tara wasn't alone in her shenanigans last night either.

Anna Hathaway attended a party at the Lanvin boutique in New York, apparently dressed as a leopard in a baggy printed jumpsuit with a purple mask, while Janet Jackson wore a pencil-thin moustache with her all-black outfit.

Tara was looking healthier last night in comparison to her recent skinny, pale appearance.

With a history of addiction and rehab, the actress has openly admitted to her problems in the past.

In December last year, she spent 60 days at Promises rehab clinic in Malibu, California, known for its celebrity clients.

Also her weight has been a worrying problem, with her figure often teetering on the scary skinny side.

But earlier this year Tara claimed she was healthy and back on track.

She told In Touch Weekly magazine: 'Rehab saved my life. Before, I used to think about tomorrow and I hated it. Now I can't wait.

'The hardest thing was walking through the door for the first time [and] finally admitting that I had a problem.

'My focus is to get back in my career and stay sober, and keep on having a better life one day at a time.'

Katie Price: Alex felt so right...it didn't matter we'd only just met

Katie Price is a new woman. Falling in love with Alex Reid has changed the star once better known as wild, party-mad Jordan.

Since meeting and marrying Alex, she has felt far more mellow, mature, secure, loved - and much happier.

Here, in the second part of our exclusive excerpts from her new autobiography, You Only Live Once, mother-of-three Katie, 32, explains how cagefighter Alex has finally tamed her.

'After splitting with Pete I'd begun to feel no man would ever want me again. So it felt like a huge deal that Alex wanted to be with me.

He saw very quickly what I'm really like. I can be a bitch when it comes to my work and business, but in my personal life I'm completely different.
Alex instinctively understood how insecure I am, how I need to be cuddled, how I need so much reassurance and love.

We both knew very early on we'd fallen in love with each other. Within a matter of weeks we were talking about getting married and having children.
We first "met" on Facebook. My friend was going to bring a couple of cute guys from the gym along to my friend Michelle Heaton's birthday party.

Then he emailed me: "Change of plan. I'm asking my friend Alex Reid. Trust me, Kate, I think you'll like him."

He sent me the link to Alex's Facebook page. I couldn't really tell what he looked like from his profile picture so I requested him as a friend.

I think I sent my message on a Wednesday and only heard back from him on Friday. Two whole days later! "That's a bit cheeky," I thought.

Finally Alex did get in touch and we exchanged a series of messages. Ever the straight talker, I asked him what he liked in a girl but his replies were frustratingly unflirtatious and nor did he text me that much. "Maybe he's just not interested," I thought, feeling disappointed.

Being left by someone doesn't exactly do wonders for your self-confidence. I so wanted Alex to like me and find me attractive. And, yes, to fancy me because I admit that even from the brief contact we had had, I fancied him.

On July 18, 2009, the night of Michelle's party, when I turned round and saw Alex for the first time I thought, "Wow, he really is gorgeous!"

Right from the start, there was a strong attraction between us.
You can always tell, can't you? You get that butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling, where you want to give them all your attention and to know that they're giving you all theirs.

I've never been into one-night stands. I've always had relationships. And I've always made the guy wait a month before I sleep with him, wanting to know that he respects me and it isn't just about having sex with Katie Price or Jordan.

But I didn't feel that I needed to be like that with Alex. Even though I'd only just met him, something told me things were going to be serious between us.

And so, just hours after meeting for the first time, we spent the night together. Without going into detail, I can tell you that the sex was good, really good.

I did have a moment's panic when I thought, "Oh, no! I've blown it. He won't want to see me again because I've slept with him on the first date. He'll think that I'm a dirtbag."

But that concern quickly faded. Being with Alex felt so right that it didn't matter we'd only just met. And, after all, was there anything to be ashamed of?

My husband had walked out on me, my marriage had ended. I was newly single and free to do whatever I liked, with whomever I liked.

The first time in my entire life that I slept with a man on a first date, I ended up marrying him! I can't help feeling that my wedding to Pete had been more like a show. I was in love with him, and wanted to marry him, but we seemed to get overtaken by the big event that our wedding became.

Whereas my wedding to Alex, in Las Vegas on February 2, was far more intimate and laid-back. We went with the flow. It was just about us, no one else, and it was so romantic.

There was no glossy magazine deal, I hadn't wanted that. I wanted everything about this wedding to be as different as possible from my first one.

So there was no endless posing for formal pictures. When I saw the photographs of our wedding the following day, I was struck by how incredibly happy and carefree I looked - just the way a bride is supposed to be.

Alex definitely changed my outlook on life. Being with him was making me feel calmer and more chilled out. He's quite a spiritual person who is into meditation and yoga.

Right from the start I felt that we had a very equal relationship. Alex is a professional fighter and he is very good at what he does. I have my work, and the two worlds are kept separate.

Since being with him, I decided to cut back on the interviews I did. I was sick of the gossipy slanging matches I'd got involved with in the past. I didn't want to do any more trashy interviews slagging other people off.

I realised that I didn't want to hate anyone any more or be drawn into tit-for-tat slanging matches with other celebs. It doesn't get you anywhere, being bitter and twisted. Life is too short and I just want mine to be happy.

If I did interviews I wanted them to be based around things that were actually worth talking about. I wanted to be more mature, to concentrate on doing things with the kids, on my relationship with Alex, on my business interests and on my horse riding. I wanted to be happy.

Alex and I are not jealous of each other's past at all. He accepts mine and I accept his. But he also doesn't put up with any s**t from me.

For instance, early on when we went out together and I did my thing of having a few drinks and then going off and chatting to other people - and, yes, I admit it, maybe flirting a little bit with the guys - Alex wouldn't stand for it.

There was no big scene. He simply said very calmly, in a way which told me he absolutely meant it, "Don't treat me like that. I'll only tell you once and then it doesn't matter how much I like you, I will walk away. Of course I don't mind you talking to other people... but I don't expect you to blank me."

That told me! And do you know what? I loved the fact that he'd got the measure of my character.

It did make me wonder if I'd ended up losing respect for Pete in our marriage when I stopped listening to him. I respect Alex, and because of that I listen to everything he says.

All I want to do is be a good mum, have a good relationship with Alex and buckle down to my work and my horse riding. I feel as if I've turned over a new leaf.

Alex is the love of my life. I know people will say, "Oh, yeah, we've heard that one before". And, yes, you have heard it before - I was in love before! But who says you can't fall in love again?

Alex accepts me for who I am. He's my knight in shining armour. He has made me realise what's truly important in life. He's so grounded. Fame doesn't faze him, and our jobs don't mean anything compared to how we connect, our chemistry and the strong bond between us.

Fame doesn't last forever anyway. If I stop being famous it won't matter because I'll still have my children and a husband who loves me. Hopefully, everything's in place for Alex and me to have our happy ever after...'

Lohan says she can't afford rehab

Occasional actress Lindsay Lohan avoided (yet another) prison sentence Friday. And while we're sure she's relieved to have got out of another stint of cafeteria food and jumpsuits (orange is so not her colour), at least it would have been cheaper than rehab.

Lohan has been ordered by a judge to kick it in rehab for at least another 90 days, a stay that would set a typical guest back $53,000 US, People reports. And that's $53,000 that LiLo doesn't have, sources tell the mag.

Yes, Lohan's career hiccups have had a detrimental impact on something other than the straight-to-DVD industry. According to her probation report (which was obtained by People), Lohan will have trouble paying her Betty Ford Center fees if she doesn't find work soon.

"She indicates she cannot afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work," reads the report, and, according to People, Lohan has asked to be moved to outpatient care instead of going through another run at Betty Ford. At present, though, the judge's ruling that she stay in rehab until Jan. 3 will stick.

In an effort to raise the necessary cash, Lohan has been looking for a sponsor for rehab, PopEater reports. No, not the usual sort of rehab sponsor -- unless you're willing to pony up $50,000, in addition to talking her out of a relapse.

"Lindsay manages to live high off the generosity of others," a source told PopEater. "However, asking for free clothes and dinners at fancy restaurants is one thing; asking for $50,000 cash is something totally different. Her people tried and failed to sell her first post-rehab interview for big bucks, so her only option now is to find some sort of sponsor."

Before her sentencing, there had been several reports that Lohan was running out of money. As one "pal" of hers told PopEater, "Lindsay hasn't worked in so long that the only way she makes money now is from selling photographs."

No matter how many photo ops Lohan will be forced to stage, the judge in Lohan's case isn't the only one who believes the best thing for the celeb is rehab. Two medical professionals quoted in the report indicate that Lohan is not ready to leave treatment. Dr. Lee Sadja, who treated Lohan at the UCLA Medical Center, said in the document: "There was some denial regarding her drug addiction. [She] needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life."

A counsellor who also treated Lohan, Gary Richman, writes that Lohan is only just beginning to recover.

"She has a lot of growing up to do," he said in the report.

Nicole Richie slams 'creepy' paps

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have slammed paparazzi who waited outside their daughter Harlow's school.

Nicole took to her blog to blast paps from celebrity photo website X17 after they published pictures of her picking up Harlow from school, E! reports.

She said: "Thank you so much for posting the video of your employees sitting outside of my daughter's school, because now the entire world can see how creepy and disgusting you are."

She went on: "You do not get to spend 200 dollars on a camera, and think that gives you a free pass to shadow my child. These are strangers, grown men, stalking young children. You think that's ok?"

Her fiance Joel waded into the row by posting Nicole's blog on his Twitter account and writing: "I've learned a lot of self control and acceptance. Still never gonna be ok with grown men creeping outside schools. Gotta do what i can do."

Mischa Barton discusses depression

Mischa Barton has opened up about her "tumultuous year" being diagnosed with depression and suffering a "pretty reasonable breakdown".

The 24-year-old actress is best known for her role playing Marissa Cooper in the defunct American television series The OC, although she hit the headlines last year when she checked into a psychiatric hospital.

Mischa feels in a far better place mentally now, and is happily dating British deejay Ali Love and looking forward to new career opportunities, saying she has put the pain of 2009 behind her.

"That was a tumultuous year. It was one thing after another and it lead to a pretty reasonable breakdown," she confided to the British edition of OK! magazine.

"I suffer from depression and that's the truth. I've never told anybody that."

Mischa does accept she can be kooky sometimes, but explains that is no reflection of her mental health and is just her unique personality.

The beautiful star now feels in control of her emotions, and says she uses the arts to express her feelings. She also insists she's usually very happy and has a fantastic sense of humour.

"I am by no means mentally unstable. Well I am pretty crazy and weird sometimes, but not mentally unstable," she explained.

"I balance [depression] with positive things in my life and that's why I have my outlets of music and literature ... As much as I get down, I'm an upbeat person. People always think of me as kind of a light in a room - I love to make people laugh."

Lady Gaga Challenged to $1 Million Singing Competition

Lady Gaga has been challenged to a televised sing-off by Los Angeles recording artist Alisa Apps, with the winner taking home a cash prize at least $1 million.

The competition would take place at New York's Madison Square Garden or London's O2 Arena, with each singer performing a series of songs.

"I feel sorry for Lady Gaga -- she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," Apps states in a release. "This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer -- plastic or real."

Lady Gaga has not responded to the challenge thus far.

Apps has yet to release her debut album, but a clip of the singer performing the track "How Do I Make Right" has earned 1.2 million views on YouTube.

Christina Aguilera and husband split up

Singer Christina Aguilera said on Tuesday that she and her music executive husband, Jordan Bratman, have separated after nearly five years of marriage.

"Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever," Aguilera said in a brief statement.

Celebrity news website Us Weekly said Aguilera, 29, and Bratman, 33, split up a few months ago but have not yet decided whether to divorce.

"They are now living apart, and they will see how that goes," Us Weekly quoted a source close to the "Beautiful" singer as saying.

"They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife," the unidentified source said.

Aguilera, who had a huge early hit with "Genie in a Bottle", and Bratman married in November 2005 and have the one son, Max, age 2. They met in 2002 while Jordan was working for Aguilera's music management company.

A former Disney teen performer, Aguilera is due to star in her first feature film - the upcoming musical "Burlesque".

David Arquette's oedipal urge

David Arquette is in therapy following his split from Courteney Cox.

The couple - who have been married for 11 years - announced yesterday that they had agreed to a trial separation several months ago, and the Scream actor has now revealed the reason they parted ways was because Courteney became tired of being a "mother" to him.

Speaking to the Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM radio station, David said: "Let me get to the story. I've been going to therapy. I'm trying to grow up. I'm trying to be true to myself and figure out my world, as is she.

"We're best friends. She is the greatest woman I've ever met. As soon as I met her I knew. She's the greatest woman in the whole f***ing world. She tries to take on everyone's problems, which is why she doesn't want to mother to me anymore."

The pair - who have a six-year-old daughter Coco together - have vowed to remain "best friends" and responsible parents to their little girl.

In a joint statement, they said: "We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."

It is believed Courteney and David have already agreed to a joint custody deal to share parental rights of Coco.

Tila Tequila Loses Legal Fight to Keep Sex Tape Private

U.S. reality TV star Tila Tequila has lost her legal fight to stop release of a sex tape she made with a boyfriend several years ago - a judge hasrejected her request for an injunction.

According to Tmz, the star, real name Tila Nguyen, filed for an injunction to stop the release of the explicit video, made during a holiday with a boyfriend more than seven years ago.

Her lawyer claimed the tape is an invasion of her privacy and a misappropriation of her image.

But a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge rejected the argument on Thursday (7 Oct 10), noting "Tila exploits her sexuality".

The judge also ruled that there wasn't enough evidence to issue a restraining order against the star's ex, whose name has not been released.

Tila rose to fame as a popular internet pin-up on MySpace.com, and has since become known as the bisexual star of U.S. reality dating show A Shot At Love.

Paul Henry's resignation statement

I have resigned from TVNZ, effective immediately.

It is no longer practical in the current environment for me to do the job I was employed to do, and have so enjoyed doing. It is also difficult for TVNZ to get on with the business of being a first class broadcaster as long as I remain.

I have apologised twice, and have meant every word. I again apologise to all those who were genuinely hurt by what I said.

However, it is clear that things have now reached a point where my actions will have to speak louder than my words.

I am astonished and dismayed that my comments have created a diplomatic incident. My style is conversational and of course unscripted. I walk the finest of lines and accept that I have inadvertently crossed it from time to time.

But I recognise the realities of the situation.

I do not want to continue to be used as a lightning rod for racial disharmony in this country. Likewise, I certainly do not want to have my elderly mother staked out at her nursing home by tabloid media, as has happened this weekend.

I will miss the professionalism and friendship of the brilliant production team I have worked with, and I will miss the fun and satisfaction of having doubled the audience for Breakfast in the last few years. The programme is great - and I'm sure its success will continue.

To be honest, most of all I'll miss Pippa.

I am grateful to the many thousands of people who have offered their support to me. I hope they will understand and accept that an extraordinary convergence of circumstances has made this action necessary

I am saddened by this whole episode - sad that I crossed the line in the first place, and sad that an employer I have always served with pride has had to suffer slings and arrows.

To all those who have enjoyed Breakfast - thank you. It has been a privilege to have been part of your mornings for the last seven years.

Kourtney & Kim Take New York

The Kardashian sisters are conquering downtown. Kim and Kourtney will begin filming a spinoff of their E! reality series, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," in TriBeCa on Friday. They'll be using a penthouse at the Smyth Hotel for three months while they expand the family business and find Kim a man. A source said Scott Disick and baby Mason will live in the penthouse with Kourtney for the shoot, with the intention of relocating the family to New York permanently.

Although Khloe joined Kourtney in Miami for "Kourtney & Khloe take Miami," she'll stay in LA with her Lakers hubby, Lamar Odom. The new spinoff will be similar to the Miami series, with the opening of a Dash boutique, which has branches in Miami and LA. As we reported in August, Kourtney was seen eyeing retail space on West 14th Street near the Apple Store and Abe & Arthur's.

Paul Henry suspended without pay

TVNZ has suspended controversial Breakfast host Paul Henry, following remarks about Governor-General Sir Anand Satyanand.

TVNZ chief executive Rick Ellis said today that while Mr Henry is a “provocative” host, his recent comments “crossed the line”.

"I have met with Paul and told him that while his apologies were the right thing to do and that I believe he is sincere in his regret, I still consider his remarks unacceptable for any employee of TVNZ to make.

"We give Paul a lot of freedom with the Breakfast programme and he does a magnificent job. But as we have said before, with that freedom comes responsibility.”

Mr Ellis has suspended Mr Henry until October 18, without pay and effective immediately.

The TVNZ boss said he would also be apologising personally to Sir Anand and his family.
